Help,Gas Tank and Pecock Valve trouble

Postby kajunmisfitt » Sun Apr 12, 2015 12:37 am

Hello, Sorry it has been awhile:
I am having trouble with my Goldwing as far as the running of it. When I am in 5th gear and I go to goose it. It sounds like a bunch of air, but the speed is there. I sound like air, it is hard to describe. I was told that the tube that runs from the petcock valve and the screen is in need of cleaning. I have cleaned the tank with apple cider vinegar. What I am wondering can I remove the petcock valve off the tank ,then use a small brush and clean it out from there to the screen. I am not really wanting too remove the tank and well y'all know what I am talking about.

You can unscrew petcock off tank Don't lose the 2 O-rings. And run a wire thru the gas tank lines or use a old speedo cable put it in a drill and run it thru the tank lines.
