Throttle Cables

Postby moneypit » Sat Apr 18, 2015 5:51 pm

The throttle on old Moneypit was kind of sticky so I bought both push and pull cables. At first I was going to have a dealer put them on for me until they told me it would be around 200.00. I found the DIY from W A. looked it over and decided to do it myself. Now mind you I have Moneypit tore down to the frame. It took me 2 hours from start too finish. Because of this sight and the most excellent DIY I saved 200.00 thank you W A.

Yep they are a breeze to put in aren't they! I did mine on my 81 with the assistance of the how to article as well. What a great site this is!
Thanks to all who answer and help. It is greatly appreciated!

Glad to hear this! The more people try and realize they can do themselves, the better - because there sure aren't many dealers that will work on our older bikes anymore.
