Want to Convert Oem Lights To LED on GL1100

Postby rockford75 » Fri May 15, 2015 6:04 pm

Hello Fellas.

I want to change my original instrument lights to Led. Are led bulbs available without changing anything? If so what are the cross reference numbers? Thanks on advance for all replies.

Somewhere in the 1100 lifespan they changed from a push and turn to a wedge base bulb. My 83 has the wedge base bulbs. Hopefully someone will come along and inform as to which type the 82 had. If you're doing all the bulbs I'd recommend a single LED bulb for the indicator lights (does the 82 have an overdrive light?) For the gauge illumination I'd recommend a bulb with multiple LEDs that throws a 360 degree beam. I ended up just buying new regular bulbs for the indicator lights....I never had a problem seeing any of them, even in direct sunlight......

The 82 Goldwing has the push and turn bulbs not the wedge. And no overdive light.
