Looking for 1981 Intertstate Radiator Shrouds

Postby Aussie81Interstate » Sat May 23, 2015 7:15 am

Hi,

As the title suggests, I am looking for a pair of radiator shrouds - not particular on what colour they are, hopefully looking for a pair in reasonable condition, I don't mind painting them. To suit a 1981 Interstate model.

If you have a spare pair laying around collecting dust and don't mind posting them to Australia, happy to pay plus the postage of course. But also happy to get them posted to a friend in Wisconsin who will on forward them to me if I get enough bits and pieces together.

Also maybe a petrol pump cover or front disc covers etc if you have a bundle of stuff let me know.

thanks

Charlie

The shrouds are part of the lower fairing. What are those? Chrome trim that slips over the front edge of the lower fairing?

Standards don't have the lower fairing pieces. The ones I posted fit 75 to 83 standard gl's w/o a fairing in place and bolt to the radiator top and bottom..

here's one on gl 1000

Thanks, but I know this. Aussie asked specifically for shrouds for an Interstate model, twice. That's why I asked if those were trim pieces. Didn't realize he was wanting to take his fairing off.

So,

I must be dumb - I thought the threaded lugs on the sides of the radiator were used to mount these trim pieces. I know the lower fairings on mine butt up against the radiator, but imagined the shrouds are an extra dress piece to attach over the top.

If I don't need them then that's fine.

Has anyone fitted the shrouds over the top of the lower fairings ??

thanks

PS. Roger will get back to you regarding your shrouds.

Thanks

Charlie
