have a gl1100 with anti dive brake system.
front brake lever has to much free play and the rear brake needs lots of foot pressure to stop bike is there any adjustment that can be done??

Front you can adjust where the cable meets the lever.
As far as the whole system-they are 30+ yr old. The rubber break lines give when pressure is applied. Making the extra pressure needed.
Make the change to steel braided lines and your problem should go away.

Your signature says 1980 1100. This year didn't have anti-dive forks, so have they been swapped out and if so , which year and model are they from?
Also, were the brake components swapped at the same time?

oops..........forgot to change the year and model :oops:

1983 GL1100 A thanks for taking the time to answer me, looks like the problem could be the small hole in the hole on the rear master cylinder??????
