Front Forks oil

Postby maloki » Fri Jul 02, 2010 6:43 pm

The sealing broke on my front forks and some oil leaked out. Bought new sealing caps and fork oil, but have no idea how much oil to put; so:
Anyone know how much oil i should put in the front forks?

It uses ATF (automatic transmission fluid), not oil. If the shock is completely drained, you put (in each shock):

1980-1981: 220 cc (7.4 oz)
1982-1983: 270 cc (9.1 oz)

Will be sure to use the ATF then. Thank you for your reply.

You can use oil 10, 15 or 20 weight just gives stiffer ride as you go up..but fork oil or ATF is the standard.
