How to remove turn signal switch housing

Looking for to remove turn signal housing on 81 gl1100. My horn button is shot and i have another bike i was going to replace the whole housing. I was wordering if i could remove everything inside housing and use just the other housing but i can't see a way to get turn signal unit out of housing.

Good morning, you have to replace the complete switch, wiring and all. :D :D

Try a tear-down and clean and reinstall. These are old bikes and often get dirty or gummed up.
My wife is the greatest - she won't let me sell my bike - I'm less grumpy when I ride...

I try to remove the housing, thats a long drawn out affair. I have to remove air line to the shock, thats to much to do right now. I though you could just remove the inside parts in the housing clean and put back together, but I can't get the stuff out of the housing. So this job will wait.
