The Choke Won't Work
I understand that normally with a choke you just pull it up and it's on, well on my bike, you can't pull it. Is it stuck or is there another way to do so? It is an 82 GL 1100 stock choke set up.

Re: The Choke Won't Work
You are correct, it is a push and pull cable operation. Sounds like something is frayed, kinked, and or frozen.
A brand new cable can be had for peanuts on Ebay, around $12.

Re: The Choke Won't Work
Disconnect choke cable from mount and carb. Cable is on right back corner of carb. When you disconnect cable from carb, see if you can work cable then from knob. Also try to work choke on carb. That way you will know which is the problem, cable or choke on carb
