Passenger foot peg adjustment: '83 GL1100

Postby chrisz » Thu Aug 13, 2015 2:17 pm

Hi all,

Was perusing the spec sheet online regarding my GL1100, and the spec sheet mentioned the bike came with adjustable passenger foot pegs, "Three-position adjustable passenger foot pegs move through a range of 60 mm". Well I looked at the pegs and don't see how they can be adjusted...

Well it's listed on this site: http://www.motorera.com/honda/h1100/wing/wing83.htm

But most likely the website is confused between the Gl1100 and Gl1500.

I have an 83 Interstate. There are three holes in the crashbar/saddlebag mounts where the passenger pegs attach. You would have to unbolt them and change which hole you mount them.....so, yes....adjustable, but not without tools.

Ah HA!....I was looking at the related topics at the bottom of this page and see that you have a Standard....with the passenger pegs attached at the bag mounts on the other models you may not have the adjustability for your pegs!
