Plastic Connector from rear brake master cylinder - HELP!

Postby bobbybiscuit » Thu Aug 27, 2015 8:53 am

I am hoping that someone can help me out here please. I am rebuilding rear brakes. Some how, I have lost the connector that screws in to rear brake master cylinder (part number 43505463006) and connects to tubing to brake fluid reservoir. For love or money I cant find it. Soi annoyed with myself - have everything else but that - so can anyone help me please? If you have one part of a rear master cylinder I will buy the whole lot if necessary

I have tried CMSL

The part required is for a 1982 GL1100a Aspencade.

Thanks

Partzilla lists that part, as do most Honda parts sellers, but the part hasn't been available from Honda for many years.

Searching around on the web, the best I could do was this used one, which includes the entire reservoir assembly, for $24, which is actually a pretty decent price:

Sorry, I did not see the word "obsolete" at the bottom. I wonder why it is obsolete. I remember the part when I did n=mine, but cannot recall if it was just a means to get the tube connected. If so, I suppose you could go to the hardware store and get a straight coupling.
Wingadmin did what I did in looking on the web. You can also get the entire unit on eBay:

Thanks stuart but it did not have the plastic cone type connection on the end of it that connects to the mater cylinder. I have ordered one from http://www.straightwings.com/store/80-8 ... L1100.html

Its a Canadian site.

Its getting more and more difficult to get parts for the bike in the UK. Most of the parts I get are from the USA. Will see how the bike goes over the next 9 months and if I am still shelling out money left right and centre I will have to call it a day and sell it.

Thanks again for looking.

I was not referring to the reservoir but the other end :-) The small plastic connector that connects the rubber tubing from the reservoir to the rear master cylinder was the one I misplaced. Searched high and low and can i find it - NO! :-( Its somewhere but I think its gone to a better place lol

ohhhhhhhh, ok, NOW i know what your talking about. here is the honda OEM part # 4305-463-006 which of course you already know isnt available, but i DID however find the complete rear master cylinder at......http://www.ebay.com/itm/1980-1983-HONDA ... 74&vxp=mtr if i knew that's the small part you needed, i might have been able to find it for you at my friends motorcycle salvage yard that's close to my house for just a couple of dollars, or in your case, a pound or 2.

Hi Stuart. The link you gave is the one I had looked at previously but does not ship to UK. Thanks for looking anyway. We don't have the number of salvage companies that stock my bike parts in the UK as in the USA. After all it is a USA bike. Cheers.
