Four way flashers

Postby Five » Wed Jul 14, 2010 8:06 am

Has anyone tried to add four way flashers to an Interstate (or Aspencade, I assume they'd be the same). Riding home in a bad thunderstorm yesterday, I kept tapping my brakes to increase my visibility to cagers, but flashers would have been nice.

Condition Black: Not in any particular state of mental readiness but still prepared and willing to kill everything in your general area without provocation.

It was on my list to put onto my bike this year, but...haven't had the time. I'll likely design one and put it into my bike this winter.

WingAdmin, surely you will document and photograph the whole procedure for the rest of us to copy, right? I was going to take photos of everything I've done so far but I would get too dirty and greasy to touch anything but an occasional beer can. I don't know how you do it, but please don't stop!

As long as there's stuff to do to my bike, I'll keep documenting it!

Funny though, when I go back to do things to it that I've already photographed and documented once, and I do it the second time without stopping every two minutes to take pictures...it goes a LOT faster. :)

But your pictures and editorials are SO helpful to all of us. When we own old bikes like these we have to work on them ourselves or they would run us to the poor house. I will try to take pictures of everything I do from here on out to do my part.

FYI the previous owner did have 4 ways installed on my 83 Aspencade. I didn't do the work so I am not sure what all was done but it did have a flasher logo on the switch so it looked liked a kit. I am waiting for some parts before going into the faring again. I will see if I can figure what they did.
