now brake issues
Discovered an issue with my front brakes after riding my right disc is stone cold while the left is warm as it should be . I've not noticed any difference in braking operation but that may be me .The pads look good , ,and there's no rubbing/sticking .I have no idea .any ideas greatly appreciated Thanks

Re: now brake issues
Wiggle each caliper on the front wheel, they should have some free play. Then pull the front lever and while pulled, wiggle them again. Both of them should be clamped solidly to the wheel.

Re: now brake issues
Both calipers have free play and are solid when brakes applied. Right disc is Still stone cold after riding. Not sure what to try next .

Re: now brake issues
As long as the disc that's getting warm isn't overheated I personally wouldn't worry too much about it.You said the brakes are working ok,does the lever feel the same every time you apply the brakes? Maybe just a small air bubble trapped in that caliper? Seems like there's always something not working 100% on my bike (minor annoyances). The joys of owning a 30+ year old bike!

The brake lever seems to have more travel on it ,not sure maybe just me . The other disc heats up as normal .as you said 4wred niggling things I should be used to it by now .I remember once having the wing 100% , I think it was a tuesday afternoon:-)

Re: now brake issues
Could be an air bubble in the one caliper, or it could be a piston binding/hanging up.
