So i just inherrated a goldwing gl 1100. Shes been sitting a year. I bought and charged a new battery for it and when i went to turn it over she wanted to start. There was lights and everything. Then i turned it off and went to back it up and must have pinched a wire ot shorted it out or something because now theres no power to the lights or ignition switch. Any ideas?

With your volt meter or test light, turn on the key...Probe the large red wire coming off the starter solenoid...If there's no volts there, probe the battery connection...
Power leaves the battery and goes through a 30 amp dogbone fuse in the solenoid and up the red wire to the ignition switch...
