I'll try this again, last thread I may not have been clear that it was not a swingarm question.

How to pull driveshaft out of the swing arm ONCE the SA is clear of the bike (no problem there, about a minute with circlip this time around).

Looking at the manual, the drive shaft should just pull out of the swing arm with the circlip removed.
If it's not coming out so easily, the swing arm may have swollen internally due to rust. But I've personally never had an issue with one.

thanks - I think I saw my error - there is a circlip at the motor end, keeps driveshaft and SA attached to motor, and another at the final drive end, keeps the shaft inside the SA. It is the second of these I did not see - will go at it next trip to the shop, and report back.
