Goldwing mechanic's near central Tennessee

Postby vaughn » Fri Dec 11, 2015 12:38 pm

I am going to need new head gaskets on my 83 Gl1100 Aspencade this winter and I need to find someone near to Nashville, Tn to do it.
It currently has 41,000 miles on it and is starting to seep a little on the left side on top.
Thank's

That could be coolant leaking from the cross-over pipes, they carry coolant into the heads.
When the O-rings go bad they leak right on top of the engine.
What other symptoms are you seeing that indicates a bad head gasket? Regards, Johnny

I already fixed the cross tubes. The head gasket on the left side on top is starting to show signs of moisture.

Still not an answer, but....that seems like an unlikely place for a coolant leak. Was the coolant of the correct type?

My exercise bike is a goldwing.
