82 to 85 brakes

Ok, I am having little luck with brakes. Does anyone know if 85 year model goldwing brakes are compatible with my 82?

Go over to NGWclub forum (Naked Goldwing club) and register. If anyone knows about year and parts interchangability it's those guys. All they do is build Frankenwings out of a dozen different bikes put together.

Some of those Frankenwing builders from NGWClub.com are on here also. But this one does not know the 1982 and newer stuff.

Might have better luck here in the GL1100 or 1200 area with that question.
Keep your expectations tiny and you won't end up so whiny.

The calipers will definitely not bolt into place. So the answer is...yes, but you will be involving yourself in some considerable custom work to make it work - custom brackets, perhaps replacing forks, wheels, brake rotors...if what you're looking to do is find a cheap and easy replacement for calipers or rotors, this is definitely not the simplest way.

I am working on rebuilding what I have. Gotta get multiple rebuild kits and some pistons.
