Fun with abs

Post by blackomen » Sun Dec 20, 2015 5:13 pm

My 83i came with the right side of the fairing missing a bit. The hole was covered with black duct tape and had three mystery toggle switches. The most difficult part was cleaning up the tape residue.
Anyways, a 12" by 12" by 1/8" thick sheet off eBay for $6.90, a can of abs cement, and a can of abs primer(pretty much just acetone). For tools a heat gun, dremel, and a file.

Not the most professional looking but better than duct tape to me.

And definitely more weather and pest-proof. Nice job!

Fine job. People do odd things to their Wings.
My wife is the greatest - she won't let me sell my bike - I'm less grumpy when I ride...
