Advice on replacement ignition coils

Post by Newport » Sat Jan 02, 2016 3:48 pm

I am planning on replacing the ignition coils on my '83 Aspencade.
There is very little available here in Australia so it will be an internet purchase.
Most probably from USA or UK as I am meeting up with family from each country shortly and that will at least save on postage
There are several different makes available and of course at varying prices.
I am keen to minimize costs whilst also wanting to fit a make that will give good service.
I am aware that there are complete redesigned ignition systems available but not prepared for that cost.
Remember also that the Aussie dollar has slumped significantly against USD.
I have read some bad reports on some of the cheaper ones and I do agree that one gets what one pays for.
All that said what is the recommendation?
