Postby fynespirits » Sun Jan 24, 2016 8:36 pm

I have a CB radio fitted on my 82 aspencade , all the controls seem to be there . But I can not find a mic or somewhere that it would connect to ?
where would a mic connect ? Has anyone got pics of a mic fitted to their bike please ?

Cheers , but no clearer ?
I have the clarion system ,
and I have no idea how to work it ?
how do you connect a microphone ?
has anyone got a manual they could scan and E-mail please ?
wanting to make everything on the bike work again !
just CB and speedo to sort out now as the speedo registers a slower speed than actually travelling at !

There is a talk switch on the left side switch block:

The microphone is normally built into the helmet headset, so you talk directly into it when you hold this switch down.

J&M makes a handheld microphone kit that you can use if you don't want to use a helmet headset:

I am missing the TALK - DN/UP part of the switch
Am I right in thinking that the CB won't work without that part ?

think I really need a manual and the wiring diagram for this !!
never used a CB before , so it's a big learning curve

It might work, but it won't work well - you won't be able to change channels, and you won't be able to transmit! You'll need to find that part of the switch and bolt it in place.
