Starter button for 80 gl1100 rat bike

Postby Dconn88 » Thu Jan 28, 2016 12:36 pm

New to this forum but not to the bike. Throttle cable broke while I was out riding a couple months ago and I hadn't had time to tinker with her until now. Went to replace the throttle cable and realized that my starter switch housing is completely shot. I want to replace it with a smaller universal switch. I need a wiring diagram of some sort. Video would be better.

So after replacing all of those, you're still not getting any spark?

Well it sounds like you have replaced every common failure component of the ignition system except for the pulse generators. You are getting +12V power at the coils, correct?
