83 GL1100 Interstate Flasher Question

Postby Glitch » Mon Feb 01, 2016 4:43 pm

Hello,
I searched the forum for an answer to this question but I am new to the forum and the Honda Goldwing for that matter. My flasher still seems to be on the fritz but I have seen that people have replaced their factory electronic flashers with Autozone parts. Can anyone tell me what newer model flasher works with my wing? I read about a "Tidon" flasher but I am not sure what model. Thanks!

Any two-pin automotive flasher will work. Tridon is a common manufacturer. I'd suggest getting an electronic one rather than an older-style bimetallic mechanical type.

My GL1100 actually had a ground connection that would have allowed it to use a three-pin flasher if I wanted to.

Thanks! I found a universal 2-pin flasher on ebay for 5 bucks. I will try it and if it doesn't work then I am only out 5 bucks.
