Is there any difference between a 1983 gl1100 and a 1983 aspencade thanks in advance. ****

A 1983 Aspencade IS a GL1100. The Aspencade is a trim level. So the correct name is 1983 GL1100 Aspencade.

In 1983 there were three gl1100s. Standard, (naked) Interstate (full dresser, analog displays, no electronics) and Aspencade. (Dresser with all the bells and whistles.
