Saddlebag Weather Seal Replacement?

Post by rkmason » Mon Feb 15, 2016 11:32 am

Has anyone found replacements for the rubber saddlebag weather seals around the top edge of the saddlebag box, either the OEM type or something else that would work without too much modification? So far I can't find the Honda OEM parts anywhere, and I have not yet identified any other weather seal material that would work as a substitute.

Is that the black plastic material I see going around the edge of the fiberglass shell of my helmet?

This is what I used. Found it it on e-bay, then used a small amount of gorilla glue to seal it in place.

rubber tubing split down the middle..find a size you like cut to lenght and split it..glue in place..also various car and car door weather sealer work.. You want something soft that will give under a little pressure.

HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83
