REAR VIEW MIRRORS

Postby NUTCKERGOLDWING » Sun Aug 01, 2010 1:33 am

MY 1981 GL1100I (INTERSTATE) HAS WHAT I BELIEVE ARE THE FACTORY MIRRORS MOUNTED ON THE FAIRING AT THE LOWER CORNERS OF THE WINDSHIELD, THEY SEEM TO NOT HAVE ENOUGH ADJUSTMENT FOR ME ANYWAY, THE WILL NOT ADJUST OUT SO I CAN SEE WHERE I'VE BEEN. IS THIS NORMAL FOR THESE THINGS ? THEY ARE KIND OF USLESS,, SO I HAVE AN AFTERMARKET MIRROR ON CLUTCH RELEASE HOUSING THAT ACTUALLY WORKS PRETTY GOOD. I HAD THE FACTORY MIRRORS OFF TO PAINT THE FAIRING AND AM PRETTY SURE THE ARE THE SAME FOR LEFT AND RIGHT, THEY JUST SEEM TO BE A BAD DESIGN,, ANYONE HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM ??
THANKS,, BILL IN ALASKA
