Saddle bags without the cage.

Postby DCoxson1969 » Wed Mar 02, 2016 12:40 pm

Has anyone figured out a way to have the side bags without the cage around it? Looking to clean up the look by not having the guards all around the bike. Pics and info would be appreciated.

Not sure what yoiu are talking about..the bracket that holds the bags on the 1100's is all behind or underneath the bags not seen at all except for the guard up front of the bags that protects the bags if the bike falls over..so what cage???

I'm sorry I should have given a better description. If a gad a good picture I would post it. On my bags, there are two chrome bars that go along the bottom of the bags. The chrome is not in the best of shape and the bike is getting a fresh paint job and would like to not put the chrome back on. If I get a chance tonight I will add a picture to make things a little more clear. Thanks.

I have a feeling those might be aftermarket. Post your picture and we'll know for sure.

If like most bag guards just unbolt from the crash bar and the "legs" that bolt up from the back of the bike to the bag guard.
