I have just taken my carb out and am in process of giving it a good cleaning. Bike was running pretty good before i took the carb out so i don't think many adjustments are necessary. It is just really dirty.
I haven't taken any of the jets out yet. Do i need to count how many turns to take each jet out? I don't know if they are supposed to be screwed all the way in for the standard setup. Also, can someone explain how the idle jet works? Bike was idling pretty good before disassembly.
Thanks in advance for all advice!

Re: 1982 IDLE JET
Screw all the way in..how it works is that is sucks gas the same all teh time..after yoiu adjust the synch and idle screws which are not air but gas screws. The throttle works the main jet needle when yoiu twist it..does not effect the idle jet.
