Need help is this a common easy to fix problem? No spark on 3-4 cylinders.
I'm stuck in Moble AL from PA.

Cylinders 3 and 4 share the same coil and spark unit - so if both cylinders have no spark, that's where you want to start looking.

Download the service manual, you'll find troubleshooting instructions in chapter 15 to help you get started.

If your coils are starting to bomb out on you, Accel makes a good replacement set, 9mm wires, coils, and mounts for the coils. I slightly modified the factory mounts and put the Accel coils in the same locations as the factory coils.

I believe I may need a least one new coil, do you have a part number for the Accel units?

Here's a link to a website that sells the entire kit:

http://www.cbxmanmotorcycles.com/Accel-140403-Universal-Motorcycle-Super-Coil-Kit-4-Cyl-2-Coil-Kit-Inductive-Discharge-Non-C-D-I-3-0ohms.aspx

There are two different kit numbers which look the same, but will mess up your ignition if you use the wrong kit. The kit for our old Goldwings with points, or electronic "points" is 140403. 140404 is for the CDI ignition bikes. I bought mine new from ebay for $170, shipping included. The wires are yellow, huge (8.8mm) and I think they look good on the black bike.
