question 82 wing removing carbs

I am going to remove my carbs seems to be a small leak dripping down on engine getting like 20 mph per gallon of gas my question is the honda book shows disconneting the linkage im assuming thats for a rebuild of carbs I have another wing i am removing carbs from to replace on my engine do i still have to remove linkage and what else do i need to remove fuel lines plug wires ,throttle cables ,carb end will they be able to be pulled out from engine as one unit threw left side and another set in to replace them dont want to pull engine any one who has done this ? your comments are greatly appreciated THANK YOU! :D

Remove fuel line. Throttle choke cable from carburetor.remove intake elbows from head turn the elbows up once involved from head. Remove the 4 caps off top of each carb. Do not mix them up Mark each one with that carb. Twist and turn carb rack it will come out left side.

thanks i will give it a shot guess i will have to do same thing to bike im removing them from

Probably no need to remove the carb tops from the left side - as when you slide them out they are already clear of the tank shelter and frame etc..

I pulled mine twice on my 1100 - and a relatively simple job - when you have done it a few times. :D
