Exactly what do I have here? I believe it's an 80 GL1100 but I need help :?:

Look on the sticker on the front fork, it will tell you what year it is. Regards, Johnny

Check the frame neck as previously stated, but to my eye, it looks like a 1983 GL1100 Interstate from which some one has removed the bags and fairing. The bike appears to have Cast wheels on it, unless someone has switched the stock ComStars, 1983 was only GL1100 with Casts.
The tag on the frame neck will tell you. Right before the serial number in smaller print the letters GL1100 will be printed:
GL1100 = A Standard (No Bags, No Fairing) 1980 - 1983
GL1100I = An Interstate 1980 - 1983
GL1100A = An Aspencade 1982 - 1983
