Installing Schrader valve on forks on 83 Aspencade

Postby vaughn » Thu Apr 14, 2016 2:47 pm

My air compressor is not putting air into forks. I am looking for a valve to put on the top of the left fork in place of the hose fitting from the air compressor to be able to put air into them . I still have the stock springs and need a little air. Has anyone done this and where did you find something?
Thanks

I got to looking and found out the valve inlet on the compressor would fit right in and it holds air. I plan on installing Progressive springs in it this year and shouldn't need any air at all from what I have read.

I agree, go with the Progressive springs!
I installed them on my 1980, waved goodbye to the air assist, and never looked back.
Rides and handles much better than stock. Regards, Johnny
