Thanks in advance. I am using the Randaaks Kit for my 1100 carb rebuild. (Total resto of an abandoned barn find). The bike had been sitting for 5-6 years & the carbs were caked & gunked badly. I have three questions, with more to come most likely.
1. The attached photo shows a butterfly. The shaft through the carb has obvious play. Is this normal? If not, is there a repair?
2. I have removed the idle jets. Using a flashlight I can see a very tiny hole through the center. Is this correct or should it be totally clean & hollow with holes in the side?
3. The float valves were gunked solid. I have soaked them but noticed that one has a miniscule tear on the very tip of one float neede. Should these be replaced & if do, where can I purchase quality float needles.
Again, thank you, Stan

Re: 1100 Carb Rebuild Question
my carb shafts had a little play in them. So i think you would be ok.
Idle jet as a very small hole thru the center. And I mean small. I used a guitar string to go thru hole.
