82 1100 radiater hoses

Postby bootskickn » Fri May 27, 2016 6:16 pm

I bought my neighbors 82 1100 fully loaded. sat for years. tires and battery and new fuel off I went. my daughter chose it over my 1800... Where do I find replacement hoses? already did the belts. it had 24000 original and 1st owner when I got it.now 3600 and fuel and temp gage and fuel go to full scale at times so want to change when I fix the bad electrical..

Go to NAPA and get napa7733 radiator hose. cut it in almost half and you have both hoses for your bike.

Not that's it's not a good idea to change the hoses ..if your fuel and temp gauge are pegged to the right you more likely have an issue with the 7 volt regulator shorted or a short behind the gauges..since both are effected.
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83

I thought the thermostat was stuck. pulled it. boiled it.it was good so put it back in. was in southern Oregon, 3 hours from home. the hoses are original and want to replace when I drain the plain water out that I rode home on. thanks for the napa number.. any info on the voltage would be great. my daughter wants to ride up to the cemetery Monday.

I had a full fuel tank. pulled half out. after a few minutes both gages pegged out full. realized it wasn't really overheating in the sun on a highway outside la pine. my gun and a water bottle and no shade. lol
