Help with stripping my 81 Goldwing Interstate

Postby Joe Somebody » Tue May 31, 2016 11:48 am

First let me start with this, I am new to these forums and this is my first Goldwing, so please forgive me for any errors I make.

Here is where I am. I just bought an 81 Goldwing Interstate and would like to strip it down to its standard version more or less. From what I've seen this is not recommended if the goal is to just save weight, but I do prefer the style of a naked Goldwing and had there been one available at the same price I likely would have bought it instead. This is what I would like some help with.

Headlight with turn signal assembly
Brake light with turn signal assembly
Any recommended mods for the transition or in general would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the help! I look forward to your responses

If you can find an 1100 or 79 gl1000 standard's parts for both = direct swap..sometimes they appear on eBay. Lots of replacement headlights it's the ears that are harder to source. Check with http://www.wingovations.com, http://www.cyclepsycho.com/ or www.cyclemax.com...
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83
NOW INTO 1500'S..RIDING A 1998 SE

FAIR WINDS,
RB
