The coils on my 83 gl1100a are shot (one cracked all the way around and non-functioning the other has a 2" crack in it)
I saw post about replacing these with coil from a dodge neon.
I have been looking at using a set of 3ohm coils from a H/D (I can get them at a reasonable price).
Is there any reason that 2 of these coils won't work?

It is 3 ohm good voltage and I don't see a problem with it. Dynatek has come out with a Twin-Fire coil for the Harley guys running dual head plugs and it has 4 plug ports in one coil. So you will still get the wasted spark Just curious about that coil and if anyone has tried this coil out. Little pricy but it is compact.
