Bone fuse - chargning issue

Postby processing » Sun Jul 31, 2016 9:21 am

hello everyone,
I admit if I search through this site I ll probably will find an answer. But I am old and lazy... what is the bone fuse for and what is the golden-ish cylinder on the picture for? Also what is the connector next to the three yellow (soldered) wires for? I'm having charging issues - I did not even measure the three yellow wire outputs - no time but I'll get to it, but the connector, the bone fuse and the golden-ish cylinder next to the bone fuse, intrigued me.

Thanks a lot

Peter

dog bone is the main fuse for the bike most replace it with a blade fuse simple swap out..

That is the starter solenoid. The three yellow wires are the output from the stator. In the picture they aren't soldered. There are spade terminals in there. Make sure they are clean and tight. They should work okay but it is recommended to remove any connectors and direct solder the three wires to prevent overheating of the connectors.

That golden cylinder is as someone mentioned, the starter solenoid - but it is aftermarket, someone has replaced it with a generic aftermarket one.
