Air shocks gone flat

Postby LowLevelFlight » Wed Aug 10, 2016 4:39 am

Hello all,
First off thank you for taking your time to help me out.I have an 82 interstate and the back shocks went flat after buying it. I thought that there was an air compressor on the bike but after talking with a gentleman about it come to find out that I have to fill them up with a bicycle pump sometimes and that your not to use an air compressor or it could damage the shocks? Is this all true and if so how much do you fill it to?
any info on this subject would help out thank you very much.

Yes, true..max about 57.. but you can use a compressor to fill but you have to be quick..or you can blow out the seals or use a compressor set to a lower max pressure..
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83
NOW INTO 1500'S..RIDING A 1998 SE

FAIR WINDS,
RB
