Headlight replacement

Post by romanfj » Sun Aug 21, 2016 1:36 pm

Has anybody tried this kit on a GL1100? http://cyclemax.com/inc/sdetail/gl1000_ ... 809/303458

I'd really like to know how well it works. My old 7" headlight keeps burning up the fuse.

I doubt it would be bright enough. I would go with one of the sealed beam LED headlights, you can find them meant for a VW bus - they fit perfectly, and are extremely bright. They also draw very little power.

Burning the fuse could mean a bad ground, too many amps being drawn. Go LED as WA suggests.

here, take a look at this..........http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-DOT-H4-CRYSTA ... 3cca5fc572 once you find where the bad ground is and fix it you can not only replace the element, but the reflector itself. i have this on my bike and i couldn't be happier with it. i purchased the upgraded WHITE 100/90W for a few dollars more. much better than an OEM.
