Play on choke-rods

Postby Dan Lumbye » Tue Aug 30, 2016 2:34 pm

Hi

I am tearing my beloved GL1100 apart. When i dismantled the carburetors, i noticed that the choke-rods on carburetor 1 and 2 had a lot of play. Is that kind of normal? Should i do something about it?

Personally I wouldn't worry about it if the valves are closing and opening smoothly. Also since the choke valves are on the intake side there won't be a vacuum problem.
