New LED front turn signals super dim.

Postby DanTheMan854 » Fri Sep 02, 2016 11:53 am

Hi all,

I recently put took off the fairing set up on my 83 1100 and put on new halogen headlight with LED turn signals. After wiring it all up correctly, (i assume), the turn signals are super dim but working. It looks like only one LED is on out of the 5 or so in each one. Also now that i switched this my rear tail lights have turned into hyper blinkers. I know the back blinkers do that because i switched to LEDs up front, but any ideas as to why my front turn signals are so dim?

Have you changed the OEM flasher unit to a electronic one? Regards, Johnny

Not yet, does that contribute to the wattage getting up front?

Change it out and see what happens, not sure about the front, but a electronic flasher is required for LED lights. Chances are it will make a difference. They are readily available on E- bay for cheap. It is a 3 pin flasher that will hook up to the original pins. Honda thoughtfully left the 3rd wire for a situation such as this. Let us know what happens. Regards, Johnny
