Gl1100 clutch plates and springs

Postby sfchock » Mon Aug 30, 2010 9:04 am

Good day all. I am getting ready to change out the clutch plates and springs in my 82 Aspencade. In the spring I won from Beaver Cycles what were supposed to be plates for the 1100 but they were not, they were for a GL1000. To no avail I couldn't get replacements from them (that's another story, no trash talk). I am ready to order a proper set from either Service Honda OEM or Sabre Cycle. Has anyone had experiences with either of these, good or bad. Thanks for the info. Dave 82 Aspencade with Motorvation Formula 2 sidecar.

as a side note, Winston did reply to an e-mail that I sent him. He said he has been at the lake and will check in to it. I will let you know how that works out. These are for a set of NOS Barnett disc's. I would still like to hear about the others just in case.

I wouldn't buy from Saber Cycle if you paid me. They sell a lot of cheaply-made Chinese knockoff parts, and are legendary to have just about the worst customer service you can possibly experience buying anything online.

I can't speak to Service Honda OEM, as I have never bought from them. I can tell you that I have never had anything but excellent experiences with Cyclemax Ohio.

westernhonda.com has great service and great prices also for OEM. I've also bought a lot of parts from https://www.partsnmore.com/cat_index.ph ... ory=engine
PNM only has the clutch disks, no springs.
