GL1100I RADIO

Post by stevenstrack » Thu Sep 23, 2010 2:31 pm

I'm looking into installing a radio on a GL1100 Interstate. Does anybody have any sugestions? The GL1100I I believe did not come with a radio so if somebody has an Asp radio I would be interested in purchasing if it is compatable. I guess I would have to get the whole system amplifier, radio, wire harness ect....OR is it cheaper and easier to get an after market radio installed?

The Hondaline radios, when you can find them, are very expensive - and they can be finicky. You have to remember, they're 30-year-old technology.

If you have NO radio now, I would suggest you fit an aftermarket radio in. Perhaps a marine (boat) radio, as they are (mostly) waterproof.
