There is no factory backrest for the GL1100 - only aftermarket. Markland sold a ton of them, and would probably be your best bet. If you wanted something new, Utopia makes one without the outside bars that Markland has, that looks like it could be factory:

Hi, thanks. I'm after the Markland one with the chrome bars. I thought they were Honda, this is my first Goldwing and just learning the ropes.
I would prefer good used if anyone has one hanging in the shed!

Not hanging in the shed, but on my bike. Be aware that the bars and mounts Will dig into your legs at a stop and during paddling around a parking lot, and I have a 34 inch inseam.

Slit a piece of 1" fuel hose and slip it over the mounting bracket

And the bars will dig into your passengers legs as well. My wife hated them.
