Float needle and seats

Post by stephenricci » Wed Dec 13, 2017 8:36 pm

I was wondering if anyone has tried the float needles and seats offered by partsnmore that are made in Japan? I am in the middle of my carb refurbishment and as you probably already know, the needles and seats are not included in Randakk's kit. I have a couple of questionable float needles (spring still springs though) and figured while I am at it I might just as well replace those while I am at it. However, the close to $200 price tag for 4 OEM sets would probably make me consider living with what I have. But, at $40 plus $10 shipping from partsnmore, I would consider just replacing them all. I know that this parts site is highly recommended by others on this forum so I thought that I would get some other opinions before I place the order. Parts are located here: http://www.partsnmore.com/parts/honda/g ... rs[page]=2 . Thanks in advance for your opinion.

Well I decided to pull the trigger on the parts. I figured for $50 (1 less round of golf) that it's worth a shot. My concern is that the parts are not the same dimensionally and might throw off the float height measurement. I will do a side by side comparison and take measurements to make sure that they are the same. I will pass on my results after the parts arrive. Have a great Holiday!

Let us know how they work. Traditionally, partsnmore has been a supplier of quality parts, so I wouldn't be surprised that they work just fine.

Will do WingAdmin! If the parts do measure up correctly, I could even post a couple of side by side pics if you want.

I received my order from partsnmore this afternoon. Turns out the float needle set is made by Keyser and they are made in Japan. They look to be quality parts and are about the same size. I haven't done any measurements or taken any pics yet but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience, good or bad, with these parts?
