2 cylinders running rich 1 and 4

Have a 83 Honda gl 1100 Aspencade. rebuilt carbs but have #1 and #4 running rich. set all floats the same just idiling and revs. turned 1 and 4 plugs black after a hour could the floats be off. thanks for any info I can get.

Could you tell us which/if you used a carb kit? REBUILD is a relative term without more info. New parts, reused old parts ??? The floats have to be exact.....Some aftermarket float valves are prone to leakage. OEM valves are recommended.

I put in new after market parts you my be right about valve leaking in carbs. took it off today everything looks good starts up fairly good runs great down the road since I put these parts in put in new plugs and 1 and 4 cylinders plugs turned black while I was syncing the carbs.
