Crankshaft oil seal

Post by Newtowings » Sun Mar 11, 2018 3:00 pm

I have rebuilt 2 GL1100 engines. since Honda no longer makes the crankshaft seal, I used aftermarket seals from Ebay. Both of them leaked, one right away, the other after about 600 miles. Does anyone know where i can find the original seals? NOS or spec from another engine but in the Honda OEM style? I did have a parts bike that was in a fire with only 8000 miles, so, I took apart that motor and found a good seal in it. That fixed one of my leaks. Still need a seal for the other one. Help!

Seems to be a common size 35x55x8, probably get a good name brand double lip seal and it will work.

I found NOS at David Silver Spares. It is on the way, thanks.
