No Vaccum to #3 from canister

Post by Dintrepid00 » Sun Apr 22, 2018 4:59 pm

Hello all,

I have been working on bringing back a 1980 gl1100. I rebuilt the carbs with a Randakk kit and cleaned the tank very well. I did have the carbs synched last fall and it ran great. I am having trouble with the #3 carb not firing unless over 6K rpm. I pulled off the vaccum hose to #3 and I cannot feel any suction. How to I remove the little vacuum canister to check and clean?

That is not your problem, it is the vacuum advance and doesn't make much difference if it works or not & it is ported vacuum, doesn't have vacuum at idle. Vacuum comes from #3, not from the canister anyway.
I suspect the low speed jet is plugged.
