Bike pull to the left

Postby robertduss » Sat Nov 13, 2010 9:02 am

I have a 1983
Goldwing interstate and when i took it for a ride, it seems to pull slightly to the left. Look at it , but cannot find what's wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I wonder if the springs in your forks are weak or maybe need a look at...I can't think of anything, was the bike in any crashes? Did you measure the gap between the forks and rims on both front and rear? Could this be a bad steering bearing? Where are the pro's? Could this be caused by a rear shock maybe..Good luck sir...I hope you get this fixed..

I had this same problem on another Honda I owned, not on my Aspy. Check the top of the fork tubes to see if one of them has slipped up or down in the steering head. If they are not the same height it will effectively change the length of the tube, thus causing it to pull one direction or the other.

fork tube height in the triple tree would be my guess too, doesnt take much of a difference to affect handleing.

Even the level of fork oil could cause this problem.
