Helmet lock

Postby ramdam1 » Tue Nov 16, 2010 8:35 pm

I picked up a NOS Helmet lock for my 1981 Gl1100I. It came with a new ignition switch and fuel door lock that I needed. So I look at it as free. Thw switch and fuel door lock were easy to install. Can anyone tell me how or if you can get at the screws for the helmet lock without taking the fuel tank out?

Don't think there's an easy answer on that one; if it was easy, anyone could unscrew it and take your helmet..

Where is it on your bike?

On both of mine (both GL1000) the helmet locks mount to the outside rear of the frame right behind the mounting bolts for the seat.
