What are you guys using to cover the ignition timing hole while checking with the timing light, I would like some ideas..Please..Other than the oem part..Thanks :D

I haven't done the timing, so haven't had to do it...but a couple ideas:

- cut a thick piece of plexiglas out with a hole saw, then heat up a thread die and screw the piece into the die to "thread" it, so that it can screw into place

- Take a thick piece of transparent plastic. Mask off a circle the size of the hole, and spray the rest with spray adhesive. Remove the mask, and stick it into place

I wonder if a small piece of glass would work, just lay over the top, tape it down or use a little grease around the top of the hole, the stickiness will probably hold it in place....I don't know, I will try it..You're idea's are good ones though, I'm so cheap I never buy the actual special tool made for something..ha ha :lol:
