Yes i bypassed the stator wire plug, also had a 14 gauge jumper wire in place of the dogbone fuse,i replaced it with a 30 amp fuseable link .One of those would have left me stranded sooner or later. This site has been real helpfull

Always wise to not stray far from home for the first few 100 miles whilst you find out what you have!! Welcome to the club..

sure, rub it in. You're out riding, while I sit here getting buried in another snowstorm. Oh well, when the snow is gone the western mountains of Maine offer some great rides! Looking forward to it! Maybe I should put my carbs back together......

It looks like I'll be ordering one of your 7 volt regulators temp and fuel gauge pegged on the way out to dinner .I'm sure it wasnt overheating .i had been thinking about getting one it seemed like a common problem so I wasn't to surprised ,but it is scary to have the temp in the red

I hate to rub it in but its going to be 62 and sunny tomorrow. You may not get as many days on your gold wing but I'd love to have a have a place to to ride a snow mobile
